Here is the format for the 3 point contest and the Free Throw Contest:

EACH TEAM PROVIDES ONE PLAYER FOR FREE THROW SHOOTING AND ONE PLAYER FOR THE 3 POINT CONTEST

CAL Youth 3 pt. contest is five 3 pointers from 4 different spots on the floor,  (each corner, each wing, and the top of the key) without a time limit (or with a time limit long enough so the boys don't have to rush each shot but not long enough so they can line each one up). This way balls aren't flying all around the gym. The top three scorers would then go to the finals. FIRST ROUND AND FINAL ROUND TOTALS ARE ADDED UP TO DETERMINE THE WINNER

With the Free Throw shooting each boy will get 10 shots, again with the top three going to the finals. FIRST ROUND AND FINAL ROUND TOTALS ARE ADDED UP TO DETERMINE THE WINNER

Winners receive an award - each town can enter one player for the Free Throw Contest and one player for the 3 point contest. Each grade has a contest. PARTICIPANTS MUST ARRIVE AT 2PM TO BE ELIGIBLE.

COURT LOCATIONS:

• 8th Grade: COURT 1 - HW HIGH SCHOOL
• 7th Grade: MIDDLE COURT - HW HIGH SCHOOL
• 6th Grade: FAR COURT - HW HIGH SCHOOL
• 5th Grade: HW REC CENTER
