we started slow as a team..but then we really started to click when we
applied the "press"..kyle lucido...liam McCarthy and cameron davis all
played well..daniel gonzazlez was huge in the paint..nice way to start
the season!! |

Hamilton
and Wenham 7th grades boys oust Newburyport 7th grade team. Even though
Hamilton and Wenham never trailed in the game, Newburyport still give
them all they had, but they could not overcome the heavy three point
shooting of Tam, 2 threes, Lindland, 2 threes, Thompson, 1 three and
Kelly, 1 three. Also Newburyport had a hard time stopping the inside
forces of Foringer, who fouled out and Carp combined they had 25
rebounds, and 20 points, this was to much for Newburyport to handle. Tam
lead Hamilton and Wenham with 14 points he also had 5 assist, 4
rebounds, and 5 steals. Carp also had 14 points and 15 rebounds and 3
block shots. Newburyport was lead by Kontaine he posted 17 points and 10
rebounds in a losing effort. |

not many to speak of..we couldn't seem to handle their 1-2-2 press..we
took too many outside shots and our "key" big guy fouled out in the
first half!!.. liam McCarthy and cameron davis played well..we also
couldn't seem to finish when we got to the basket..they were very
aggressive on defense. (trap) |

Man/Essex came out strong and were rolling with a 22 point lead with 9
min remaining. NR mounted a huge comback to close the gap to 3 points
and lost by 6 as time expired. Balanced scoring in the end... as Mike
Carbone had 14, Matt King had 13, Kyle Boucher had 12, Kyle Lentini had
9 and Ryan O'Boyle added 6 points. Great effort! |
