The 5th grade boys lost another close and hard fought game. This time
it was against Marblehead. Hamilton-Wenham was leading by 3 points at
the start of the second half but was unable to keep the lead as
Marblehead used it's size advantage to stage a furious comeback and grab
the lead for good half way through the second half. Christian Ecker and
Lucas Prioli had solid games scoring 8 points each. Stephen Brao had his
best game of the season with a strong presence under the basket and
scoring 6 points. Nick Loeper and Francisco St. Hilarie (4 points each)
and Drew Pirie, Alex Rogers, Kain McGee (2 points each) finalized the
scoring. Andrew Weigand, Peter Duval and Mark Pauwels were a great
defensive presence. |

Trailing 20-9 at the half, the North Reading Hornets stormed back to
beat the Manchester-Essex Hornets. North Reading went into a full court
press in the second half and it was too much for Manchester-Essex. |

they could not handle our "full court press"..and we took it to the rim
every chance we got...kyle lucido(15pts)..and cameron davis (12pts)
..and liam McCarthy(10pts)all played well. |
not a bad team effort we need to step up our defense..("in
transition")..and rebound a little better. |
