1. Unless otherwise cleared beforehand, all teams must have 10 players on the bench for EACH playoff game and each player MUST play a MINIMUM of 8 minutes each or you WILL forfeit.

 

EXCEPTIONS TO THE 10 PLAYER RULE MUST BE CLEARED BYTHE RULES AND ROSTER COMMITTEE. ILLNESS AND INJURY DURING THE TOURNEY OR ON THE DAY OF THE GAME OR A FAMILY OR EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCE MUST BE COMMUNICATED AND VERBALLY OR ELECTRONICALLY APPROVED TO DOUG LINDLAND SO HE CAN LOG THE CIRCUMSTANCE. 2. YOU MAY CALL UP PLAYERS TO REPLACE ROSTER POSITIONS WITHOUT PENALTY IF YOU NOTIFY DOUG AHEAD OF TIME BEFORE YOUR GAME(S) PLEASE DO THIS BEFORE YOUR FIRST PLAYOFF GAME.

 

3. PLEASE OBEY THE PLAYING TIME RULE OR YOU RISK FORFEIT - COMMUNICATION IS KEY

An 8 minute minimum playing time rule per player per game is in effect for all teams that arrive a game with 10 or more players.  Issues/problems should not be dealt with between coaches (after a game), but rather should be reported to your town’s Cape Ann Director. ANY TEAM THAT ARRIVES WITH LESS THAN 10 PLAYERS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING PLAYING RULES:

• 9 players - each player must play a minimum of 10 minutes a game

• 8 players - each player must play a minimum of 12 minutes a game

• 7 or less - each player must play a minimum of 16 minutes a game

 

  

OTHER PLAYOFF NEEDS:

 

a. Please provide 1 three point contest shooter and 1 free throw contest shooter per grade for the 2pm contests on Saturday. I need volunteers for all contests - please help me out!

 

b. Please get the scores to me as soon as possible. If the WINNING COACH or DIRECTOR can call me immediately after your game at 978-869-9980 and let me know your grade, game number, your opponent and score, we can keep the chart updated. 

 

c. Please tell your parents to be PATIENT. It will be CROWDED and INTENSE - please keep the courts clear so the kids can play their best. There are a lot of games - and each one counts!

 

d. Please support the concession stand. Please use the Cafeteria as a place for a break with your team. It has tables and a lot of room and it will help keep the gym less crowded. Families of your team are welcome to use the room.

 

e. Have your players clean up their water bottles and trash AFTER EACH GAME

 

f. Trophies will be awarded to the Champions and Runners Up of each grade and to the 3 point winner and free throw winner.

g. There will be Cape Ann League Merchandise for Sale
